You may have read the word “Mr. Brightside” in my profiles, in my blog.
What that mean?
Does it mean that I am trying to keep alive my best memories of school life, which belong to “bright School”? No, it’s not for that. “Mr. Brightside” means optimistic.
Optimistic – who have positive attitude even in failure, even in sorrows, even in misery.
“Come on. It looks nice only in motivating books and movies. It’s not possible to be optimistic in real life. There will come situations which break us, which make us curse God for not doing favor, which force us to think ‘why me?’ And why you are looking for others? Look at yourself. Now it happens to you. Do you have any answer? Now being in this lower phase of your life can you explain your theory? ”
I will answer…. First I tell u a Buddhist story I have read in some novel….
One concerns a farmer who wakes up to find that his horse has run off.
The neighbors come by and say, “Too bad. Such awful luck.”
The farmer says, “Maybe.”
The next day, the horse returns with a few other horses. The neighbors congratulate the farmer on his reversal of fortune.
“Maybe,” the farmer says.
When his son tries to ride one of the new horses, he breaks his leg, and the neighbors offer condolences.
“Maybe,” the farmer says.
And the next day, when the army officials come to draft the son- and don’t take him because of his broken leg- everyone is happy.
“Maybe,” the farmer says.
Now my answer:
Yes. This situation has shaken me. There are occasions in recent days when I have asked god “why me?” It’s hard to be Mr. Brightside but I am trying to be. Whenever I think that “I am Mr. Brightside”, it boasts my strength. It reminds me that ‘this is not the worst period of my life and I can survive.’ I will not only survive but handle this situation beautifully. Maybe it will come up with some great lessons of life and this is the best phase of life to learn.
There are people among us who believe in good luck and bad luck. But think about it twice after reading this story. Does it suitable to judge any incidence considering specific time period? It’s possible that today’s bad luck maybe tomorrow’s good luck, and vice versa. Sometime we can figure out which incidence facilitates us and which hinders, but sometime it’s beyond our limitations to understand it. Then leave it to God, have faith in yourself and in supremacy. God never leave their children to suffer. According to me there is obvious thing called Luck, but not good luck or bad luck.
And now look at me. I had never written this article if I am not going through this phase. It’s positive outcome of trying to be optimistic. It works. If anything is worth trying at all, it’s worth trying at least 10 times.
